Are you the kind of person who runs straight to the biggest, fastest, most twisted rollercoaster in the park? Or are you the one in the group who always keeps an eye out for the shortest lines at the tamest rides? You may think that most entrepreneurs would be the first person: ready to ride the rollercoaster of doom. Well there are no official statistics on entrepreneurs and rollercoasters, but not all entrepreneurs are thrill seekers.
Entrepreneurs come in all shapes, sizes and temperaments. They may love to hang upside down and feel the rush of speed as the ride zips by, or they may be more than happy to sit that one out. What all entrepreneurs do have in common is a desire to succeed on their own.
Running your own business is a lot like a trip to the amusement park. There are great highs (like riding the rollercoaster) and great lows (like the 45 minute wait to get on the rollercoaster). Throughout it all there are annoyances, difficulties and disappointments. But the best part of the trip to an amusement park is the memories you make. You remember and you celebrate the good times. Running your own business is the same. When you are in the middle of it, it can be hard to experience it all, but eventually you will remember the great highs and celebrate your small victories!
So you don’t have to be a thrill seeker, to hop on the rollercoaster of following your promptings. But the ride is one you shouldn’t be afraid to try. For one, it will be a great memory. In addition, you will experience a rush when you set to work each day to be your own boss and succeed! Of course there will be times when it may make you feel a bit nauseous. Either way you are riding the rollercoaster of life – and that’s what it is all about!
